Celebrate Lunar New Year with a special Gyenze Chinese New Year puja, and dedicate your merits for a Year of the Horse filled with health, wealth and swift success. Also known as the Wishfulfiller, Gyenze is a special form of Dorje Shugden who increases lifespan, material resources, merit, spiritual realisations, and all that is good.

The Gyenze Chinese New Year puja is a large wish fulfilling puja that will be performed once by our sangha, pastors and puja team, and merits will be dedicated to all sponsors. All proceeds support the maintenance of the temple.

About Chinese New Year

The new lunar year is a time for renewal, purification, and fresh aspirations, whether we are observing Chinese New Year or Losar (Tibetan New Year). The essence is the same — to begin the new cycle with blessings, clarity, and positive energy.

In the Chinese tradition, it is customary to visit the temple at the stroke of midnight — to offer prayers, candles and incense to the Buddhas — so that the first act of the year is a virtuous one . It is also a symbolic practice to invite abundance, protection, and harmony into our lives.

In Tibetan culture, Losar is deeply spiritual. It generally begins with purification rituals to clear obstacles from the previous year, followed by paying respects and making abundant offerings to our gurus and the Three Jewels. Most of all, it is a special time to realign our minds with the Dharma and cultivate aspirations to benefit all sentient beings.

Chinese New Year Offering Service

  • Prayers, offerings and dedication of merits for orders placed by Feb 15, 2026 (Sun) 11.59 pm (GMT +8) will be performed on your behalf during the Chinese New Year Eve prayers at Kechara Forest Retreat on Feb 16, 2026 (Mon).
  • Pujas and all other offerings will be fulfilled by Mar 3, 2026 (Tue), the 15th day of Chinese New Year.

Requesting a Service

  1. Set a positive intention before requesting the offering service. The purer your intention, the greater the merit generated.
  2. Select your desired offering quantity, size and style (where applicable).
  3. In the “Dedication” section: Provide the name of the person/entity the offering is dedicated to. You can also include a specific wish or request. Our sangha/pastors/team will dedicate the merits according to your wishes.
  4. In the “Sponsor” section: Provide the name of the sponsor (benefactor). This is optional; sponsors can choose to remain anonymous.
  5. After submitting your offering service request, rejoice and dedicate the merits you have generated.
  6. We will inform you by email once your offering has been fulfilled.
