This preliminary practice is one of the traditional prerequisites to enter the tantric path. However, few of us have the time or ability to complete or even begin this essential practice.

The 100,000 Vajrayogini Light Offering Retreat Service is an initiative by Tsem Ladrang to help busy spiritual seekers fulfil their spiritual aspirations. Daily light offerings will be performed on your behalf in Kechara Forest Retreat and merits dedicated according to your wishes. You can also sponsor this retreat for your loved ones to help them collect merits for better future lives.

How it works
  • Light offerings will be made daily on your behalf. The number of lights offered corresponds to your selected quantity (1, 2 or 3 candles per day).
  • If you would like to offer more than 3 lights per day, please sign up for another subscription under the same retreatant name.
  • If you are engaging in the offering of lights as a preliminary practice or traditional Buddhist retreat, you must not break the retreat cycle until your desired target (traditionally 100,000) is achieved.
  • The light offering retreat cycle begins on the first day of every month.
  • Subscriptions paid on or before the last day of each month will be fulfilled during the upcoming retreat cycle.
  • Your first month’s subscription will be charged immediately upon sign up. Subsequently, you will be charged every month on the same day of the month, or on the last day of the month, whichever is earlier. For example:
    – If you signed up on Jan 15, you will be charged on Jan 15, Feb 15, Mar 15, Apr 15, and so on.
    – If you signed up on Jan 31, you will be charged on Jan 31, Feb 28, Mar 31, Apr 30, and so on.
  • If your recurring payment is unsuccessful:
    – We will send you an email to notify you of the situation. Please check and amend your payment method, card details or top up funds as needed.
    – Once the issue has been resolved, you can email us to manually retry the payment, or wait for the ‘smart retry’. We will automatically retry the failed payment (up to 4 times) over the subsequent 2 – 3 weeks.
    – Your light offerings will be paused until the subscription fee is paid.
  • To avoid the risk of breaking your retreat due to failed payments, we offer a one-month buffer option when you sign up. If you choose this option, we will continue to offer daily lights on your behalf, even if your payment is unsuccessful.
    – This is especially important if your payment date is towards the end of the month, as you may not have sufficient time to resolve any failed payment issues before the next retreat cycle begins.
  • You will receive monthly email updates with details and photos of your light offering retreat by the first week of the following month. Please add myservices@kechara.com to your contact list so that you don’t miss our emails.
Service + Offering Guide

Requesting a Service

  1. Set a positive intention before requesting the offering service. The purer your intention, the greater the merit generated.
  2. Select your desired offering quantity, size and style (where applicable).
  3. In the “Retreatant Name” section: Provide the name of the person the retreat is dedicated to. Our sangha/pastors/team will dedicate the merits accordingly.
  4. In the “Dedication” section: Provide a specific wish or aspiration. This is optional; an additional dedication is not necessary.
  5. After submitting your offering service request, rejoice and dedicate the merits you have generated.
  6. We will inform you by email once your offering has been fulfilled.

About Vajrayogini

A representation of complete Buddhahood in female form, Vajrayogini embodies the qualities of the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times. Her tantra is the most supreme among all the Highest Yoga Tantras. As our lives today are ruled by extreme lust, greed, anger and hatred, she uses these very forces to attract us and then transforms them into liberating energies.

Vajrayogini is particularly suitable for the people of our time because her practice helps to purify and transform desire, which is the current and most pervasive energy within samsara. In fact, she manifested specifically to pacify our self-created inner obstacles that are provoked by the outer environment we live in. Therefore, her blessings are very potent and powerful for this day and age.
